Intermediate Math Evening

Math Presentation for Parents and Students Together: Using arrays for multiplication, 3rd and 4th grade.
Intermediate Math Evening, like the Primary Math Evening, is a sit down affair with a presenter. The idea is for students and their teachers and parents to spend some time playing mathematical games, solving problems, and doing other math activities that promote number sense and development of multiplication and division strategies. A presenter will lead the activities using a Powerpoint presentation and then using a microphone, interview students about their mathematical thinking. The hope is that all the adults will see those young minds thinking mathematically and will be able to help students develop deeper understanding of intermediate level math.
