Teaching Environmental Impacts on Genome Stability

Dr. John Hays, Department of Environmental and Molecular Toxicology at OSU, is hosting a group of teachers to participate in a professional development workshop/focus group sponsored by his lab research grant. Dr. Hays and his post doctoral researcher, Marc Curtis, will provide teachers with the opportunity to learn about the model system, Arabidopsis, learn the research techniques used in the Hays lab, and assist in the development of curriculum materials suitable for high school classrooms. Any materials developed will be used in future professional development workshops in this topic area and will be published on the SEPS web site for public use.
