Left counts distinct source-local hosts with at least one record in each broad group. Right sums explicitly numeric or unambiguously additive counts across source rows. The sums describe the ledger, not independently verified numbers of unique parasites. Approximate counts, an open quantity and a missing cyst count remain separate. Reused vial identifiers and overlapping recovery records may affect individual totals; the supplied collision table identifies those cases.
